Being a ghost can get dreadfully boring. At first, it can be great fun to terrorize
the living, but being bound to the same house for decades gets tiresome, especially in Las Vegas. One restless spirit, Wahmenitu,
and his ghost wife, Nina, feel so frustrated as spirits without bodies that they conspire and devise a brilliant escape plan.
Merging with a freshly dead body right after the host spirit vacates could make them whole again.
One morning, Kendra storms away from a heated argument with her stepmother, Barbara, and locks herself in the bathroom. Kendra
draws a hot bath, steps in, and starts cutting herself with a shiny blade. We can see from her many thin scars that she does
this often. Barbara startles her with a loud knock on the door, and Kendra accidentally cuts her wrist too deeply. The rigorous
blood flow lulls her into a trance before she violently slices her other wrist open.
Blood fills the tub as Kendra drifts peacefully into unconsciousness. Wahmenitu seizes the opportunity to reanimate his new
body-- his new home-- Kendra. Barbara pops the bathroom lock and finds a tub full of blood, but no Kendra. The prank annoys
Barbara, but she remains puzzled, and inspects the locked window. Zombie Kendra rises from beneath the surface of the blood.
Barbara hears the sound of dripping behind her. She turns to face zombie Kendra, who viciously attacks, eating her alive and
spraying blood over the walls.
Alive for the first time in many years,
Wahmenitu goes on a hedonistic binge as zombie Kendra. Food tastes delicious, but sits like a heavy rock in her stomach. Alcohol
goes down smoothly, but fails to provide a warm, pleasant rush. Seduction excites her, but never reaches its full potential.
Soon, Kendra's razor wounds start to hurt even more, rather than healing, Wahmenitu discovers that Kendra's body is decaying.
The pain of decay causes extreme aggression, causing unsuspecting victims
to meet their bloody end. As Kendra's decomposition advances, the pain becomes so intolerable that Wahmenitu must find a solution--
fast! He uses Kendra's appearance to befriend and gain the trust of her sister, a young nursing student named Kira.
The sisters decide to break into a funeral home and use the mortician's supplies to embalm
Kendra. Kira does what she can, but Kendra is still rotting from the inside. While left alone, Zombie Kendra removes her arm
brace to examine a broken bone. Her arm hangs by a flap of flesh and stretched muscle stricken with gangrene. Zombie Kendra
angrily tears off the rotten arm and goes into a trance, chanting in Native Sioux. Wahmenitu's next plan will change Kira's
life, and death, forever.
